Last week I ran a fundraiser in support of Anaka Women's Collective, and honestly, the response blew me away.

For those who don't know, Anaka Women's Collective do incredible work supporting ethnic minority women and families here in Northern Ireland. In the wake of the recent racist violence that took place on our doorsteps in Belfast, they have been on the ground, showing up for the families and individuals most affected, doing the quiet, vital work that doesn't always make the headlines but matters more than most things.

I wanted to do something. So I put out a simple ask: donate to Anaka, send me a screenshot on Instagram, and I would enter you into a draw to win a £100 Dearbháil Designs voucher.

You showed up. Together we raised just over £500 for Anaka Women's Collective. Every single pound of that goes directly to supporting families and individuals in our community who need it right now.

I am so proud of this wee community we have built around this brand. You are warm, generous, and you put your money where your heart is. That means everything.

The North of Ireland is not the violence you saw on the news. It is this. It is people who show up for their neighbours, no matter where those neighbours are from. Ireland is a place for all, and last week you proved it.
